€ 96, 553, 593 : this is the final amount raised during the Telethon held on 29 and 30 November 2024. This result reflects an extraordinary outpouring of solidarity, driven by millions of donors, volunteers and partners who have stood by families in their fight for nearly 40 years. It is also the outcome of the outstanding commitment of our patron, Mika, and the many presenters and professionals from France Télévisions, who powerfully amplified the voices of families and researchers united in their determination to defeat the disease.

Mika, patron of the 2024 Telethon, made a heartfelt appeal for public generosity at the end of the show. Speaking to viewers from 200 countries, he encouraged everyone to make a donation on telethon.fr

Alongside the hosts of France Televisions and surrounded by numerous artists, Mika will use all his talent, sensitivity and energy to support families in their fight against rare diseases. Discover his message !

While it is customary for the heart of solidarity to beat for the Telethon on the first weekend in December, this year, exceptionally, the Telethon will be held on November 29 and 30, to make way for the ceremony to reopen the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris.
 

92,905,533 is the final amount raised by the Telethon held on 8 and 9 December 2023. This exceptional result bears witness to the unfailing mobilization of millions of donors, volunteers, and partners throughout France and abroad.

The Telethon 2023 ended on a high of €80,671,222, which shows the confidence and exceptional mobilization of donors and volunteers for this year's event, rich in victories against disease and promises for all those waiting for the diagnosis and treatment that will change their lives. We must not give up. 

Thank you to everyone: donors, volunteers mobilized throughout France and abroad, families, partners, personalities! Thanks to your mobilization on December 2 and 3, the Telethon 2022 raised 90,839,067 euros! This tremendous result - the best since 2016 - shows how much the French people support the families’ fight against rare diseases.

The Téléthon 30-hour-long broadcast ended with donations totaling 78 051 091 euros. From Guebwiller to Cassis, Dijon, Lorient and Cap-Ferret, millions of people came together again for the Téléthon, this unique celebration with its thousands of events. A vital support for the families and researchers, “these saving lives maniacs” as Kev Adams called them. But while researchers’ victories multiply, all week-end long patients and their families reminded everyone of the urgency of finding new treatments.

It is a positive commitment, but France must set an example by perpetuating and amplifying a truly ambitious national policy.

On 16 December 2021, the UN adopted the first-ever UN Resolution on “Addressing the Challenges of Persons Living with a Rare Disease and their Families.” A huge recognition for families with rare diseases.

The 2021 Telethon ended with donations totaling 73 622 019 euros. An amount reflecting the generosity of the general public, the energy felt during thousands of Telethon events throughout France and abroad, and the strength of families’ fight and researchers’ determination. This unique combination is the cause for a true revolution in medicine that saves lives and opens up new prospects for treatment.

Last December 4th and 5th, the 2020 Telethon took place in a difficult context due to the COVID19 crisis with donations totalling nearly 58.3 million euros by the end of the TV broadcast. A few months later, we are extremely proud to share the exceptional final result of our 2020 fundraising campaign: 77 298 024 euros. Thank you so much!

At the end of the television broadcast, the counter of the 2020 Telethon shows 58 290 120 euros. Despite the health crisis, which led to the cancellation of a very large number of events in towns and villages, the French people responded positively to this extraordinary Telethon: the one presenting the greatest victories of its history. Behind these victories, there are faces, first names, children, parents, changed lives, regained motions, smiles and laughter, and life who wins.
